Leadership

David E. Williams, CPA, CMA, MBA: Chief Executive Officer, Global

Mr. Williams is a proven leader in the clinical research organization world, having served for more than six years at INC Research, where he positioned the organization to become the fastest-growing, global, full-service CRO in the United States. Mr. Williams was Chief Financial Officer until June 2003, when he assumed the additional leadership role of President. Previously Group Operations Controller at Pfizer, Mr. Williams has also served as CFO and COO of several public biotechnology companies. He is a CPA and holds an MBA from Seton Hall University.

Surinder Kher, MBBS: Chief Executive Officer, India

A physician by training, Dr. Kher was in clinical practice for approximately six years before joining the pharmaceutical industry more than 13 years ago. Dr. Kher has been associated with global clinical research studies in India since early 1995. His career portfolio includes such positions as Senior Vice President of Operations of iGATE Clinical Research and Clinical Research Physician at Eli Lilly and Company.

His experience in clinical research encompasses clinical study management, pharmaco-vigilance, quality assurance, regulatory affairs and overall strategic business planning. Within clinical operations he has been associated with multi-country phase I-IV clinical studies in various therapeutic areas including diabetes, oncology, neuro-sciences and infectious diseases.

Linda P. Miller, MD: Vice President, Clinical Development and Chief Scientific Officer

For more than 25 years, Dr. Miller has been both a researcher and clinician on various Phase I-III clinical trials, including new agent development and expanded access indications. She has more than 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Miller graduated from Rutgers Medical School with an MD and completed her residency training in pediatrics at New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center, The University of Vermont Medical Center, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Miller completed her fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with further training in new agent development and the design and conduct of clinical trials, particularly early phase development. She was also a Research Fellow at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago in the Departments of Pediatrics and Pathology/Clinical Pharmacology.

Rahul Devnani, CPA: Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Devnani was previously controller for corporate accounts at Jubilant, and his background includes accounts and information systems management for other Indian firms. Mr. Devnani ensures that accounting and reporting regulations are met, as well as integrating cutting-edge information systems technologies to ensure maximum effectiveness. Mr. Devnani graduated from the Sri Ram College of Commerce at the University of Delhi in India and holds further qualification certificates from the Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

Ferrell Drewry, MS: Chief Information Officer and Vice President, Biometrics

With nearly 30 years of IT experience, much of that within the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Drewry brings an extensive array of skills to his dual position. Prior to joining Clinsys, Mr. Drewry was the president and owner of a successful consulting firm and he has held esteemed positions with INC Research, PharmaResearch Corp., Pharmaceutical Product Development, GlaxoSmithKline and SAS Institute. Mr. Drewry earned his Master of Science in management information sciences from Colorado State University and his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Northern Colorado.

Hartmut Schmied, MD: Vice President, European Operations

Dr. Schmied, a highly experienced professional in the field of cardiovascular clinical research, previously worked as executive director of European operations for Medifacts International, as well as global head of clinical research. Prior to Medifacts, he held a number of senior management positions in clinical development for Bayer AG. Dr. Schmied received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Cologne, Germany and a certificate in pharmaceutical medicine from the European Confederation of the Upper Rhine Universities in Basel, Strasbourg and Freiburg.

Margaret Richardson: General Counsel

Ms. Richardson brings more than 10 years of pharmaceutical and life science legal experience to Clinsys. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Richardson served as general counsel for Schwarz BioSciences and UPM Pharmaceuticals. During Ms. Richardson's career she has gained extensive experience in United States and European pharmaceutical regulatory issues, DDMAC, a variety of GxP issues, quality assurance and SOX compliance. Ms. Richardson is a patent attorney with a strong ability to translate science into business strategies and support those strategies with key legal documents.

Scott Rosenberger: Executive Director, Clinical Operations

Mr. Rosenberger is responsible for developing high performance Clinical Operations teams across Clinsys' therapeutic areas. He has more than 18 years of industry experience and nine years' tenure with Clinsys Clinical Operations, establishing long-term relationships with clients, top-performing sites and recognized opinion leaders. Prior to Clinsys, he spent two years in data management and seven years in the internal medicine operations division at Wyeth. He earned his bachelor's degree in medical technology/biology at the University of Delaware and is a registered Medical Technologist certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Mr. Rosenberger is also CCRA certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and a member of DIA.

Jeffrey Page: Executive Director, Business Excellence and Field Operations

Mr. Page has 11 years of experience in the clinical research industry, holding senior positions in business development support, finance and operations. This diverse background enables him to focus on the development, refinement and implementation of effective solutions, business processes and tools across all functions of the business, thus creating and promoting good clinical and business practices and ensuring customer focus. Mr. Page has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Central Michigan University.

Mitchell Winfree: Vice President, Global Business Development and Marketing

Mr. Winfree is responsible for leading Clinsys' global business development and strategic marketing initiatives. His extensive background in preclinical and clinical drug development gives him insight into the complexities of the clinical research industry, which enables him to develop and execute campaigns in ways that best meet the needs of Clinsys' sponsors. Prior to joining Clinsys, Mr. Winfree held senior positions in business development and marketing at PPD, Absorption Systems, Rho, and Cyprotex. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology from North Carolina State University.

Susan J. Flynn: Chief Quality Officer

Ms. Flynn is responsible for leading Clinsys' Quality Assurance and Compliance Department, while also serving as Clinsys' key contact person for the FDA and other regulatory authorities. She has more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with 14 years in international quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Ms. Flynn has held esteemed positions at Clingenix, Covance, Clinical Studies, Boehringer Mannheim and Sandoz. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology/chemistry at West Chester University in West Chester, PA and is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a histology technician.

Rajagopalan Srinivasan, PhD: Vice President, Global Biostatistics

Dr. Srinivasan has more than 20 years of experience in biostatistics with regulated drug industry and medical research, including more than 10 years working at the FDA. Prior to joining Clinsys, he was employed with INC Research, Inc. Dr. Srinivasan is currently an adjunct professor of biostatistics at University of Virginia. He received his B.S. (Honors), M.A. and master's of philosophy degrees in statistics from the University of Madras in India; his master's in biostatistics from Florida State University, and his doctorate in biostatistics from the University of Georgia.

Patricia Bland: Vice President, Proposals and Contracts

Ms. Bland has more than 13 years of experience in the pharmaceutical contract research industry. She is responsible for the development of proposals and contracts on a global basis. Ms. Bland began as a proposal and contracts analyst, progressing into the role of Director of Proposals for the Oncology Therapeutics Division of Quintiles, Inc. Most recently, she held key roles as Director and then Vice President of the Proposals and Contracts Departments at INC Research, Inc. Ms. Bland earned a bachelor's degree in communications from North Carolina State University.

Georgia Grant: Executive Director, Human Resources

Ms. Grant has more than 25 years of experience in human resources and recruiting concentrated in the pharmaceutical/CRO industries. Prior to joining Clinsys she was Human Capital Partner and Recruitment Manager at i3 Global. Her past human resource experience includes positions at Johnson & Johnson, Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical and Nelson Professional Sales where she held the position of Vice President Human Resources and Recruiting. Ms. Grant earned a bachelor's degree from Montclair University.

Daniele De Leo: Vice President, Clinsys ALTERNA

Ms. De Leo is responsible for developing and managing the staffing division for Clinsys' contracting and permanent clinical services group. She has 12 years of recruitment and consulting staffing experience across various industries, including privately held and venture-backed emerging technology start-ups throughout the United States. Additionally, Ms. De Leo spent several years with a large international retained search firm helping to launch a technology practice within the healthcare industry. She earned a bachelor's degree from Miami University (Ohio).
